2020 Conference Theme
Broken & Blessed
From our own brokenness as sinners before God, constantly striving for Holiness, to the brokenness experienced in our own diocese and beyond, one can easily see where broken could be an integral part of our conference theme this year.
We are all most definitely broken in some way. I think of the cross when Jesus was dying and said ‘I thirst’ and immediately drink was brought, but it wasn’t a thirst liquid could quench. He thirsts for us. Each one of us. Every little broken piece of us. The lost, the lonely, the depressed, the addicted, the stubborn, the prideful, the intellect, the disabled, the ones who don’t want to be found, and the ones who can’t seem to find their way no matter how hard they try.... He wants us all. And how BLESSED we are by that!
We have Jesus! “For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him. Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me.” John 6:55-57
We have Jesus. Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity. How blessed we are indeed. What a beautiful and glorious blessing!
We are looking forward to sharing in Communion and fellowship with you on March 14th. Please make plans to attend. Bring your friends and family.
